THE GROOVY PROJECT

The Groovy Project is an anti-bullying music video that aimed to teach students to control the messages they put out in the media and use their collective voice for good. The students of Madison-Oneida BOCES starred in a music video of an anti-bullying song about unity and acceptance by artist NateKid. This social media project allowed students the opportunity to learn how to take an idea from inception to completion and be responsible for its growth and ultimate worldwide reach. The video is continuing to go viral and has reached a national platform. On an upcoming episode of ABC’s 20/20, the students of Madison-Oneida BOCES, along with the video, are being featured as a part of a story about bullies.

110 Stories

110 Stories is a play based on first-person accounts of September 11th, woven into a journey that gives voice to those who experienced 9/11 directly - not just firefighters and cops but also an ironworker, chaplain, K9 handler, nurse, doctor, photojournalist, chiropractor and the homeless who saved lives that day too. A love letter to New York, the play captures the feel of the City in the wake of September 11th - its grief as well as its resilience. 110 Stories preserves the real 9/11 we should never forget. This 10th anniversary benefit featured a star-studded cast including Samuel L. Jackson, Katie Holmes, Melissa Leo, Cynthia Nixon and many others.
AMERICAN IDIOT

American Idiot follows the exhilarating journey of a new generation of young Americans as they struggle to find meaning in a post-9/11 world. This high-octane show includes every song from the acclaimed album American Idiot, as well as several songs from the band's Grammy-winning release, 21st Century Breakdown. Awaken Entertainment was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Musical for American Idiot and the show won two 2010 Tony Awards: Best Scenic Design of a Musical - Christine Jones and Best Lighting Design of a Musical - Kevin Adams. American Idiot opened on April 20, 2010 and is currently running at the St. James Theatre on Broadway
SUPERIOR DONUTS

Superior Donuts is set in Chicago and centers on the unlikely friendship between an ex-hippie donut-shop owner named Arthur Przybyszewski and his brash young African-American employee, Franco Wicks, who wants to change the decrepit shop for the better. Jon Michael Hill was nominated for a 2010 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor for his work in this play. Superior Donuts opened on October 1, 2009 at the Music Box Theatre on Broadway.
BROADWAY

ROCK OF AGES

Rock of Ages is a rock musical set in Hollywood in the 1980s, when it was all about big chords, big dreams and big hair! Rock of Ages explores the pursuit of dreams and tells its story through hits from iconic groups and rockers of the 1980s. Jennifer was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Musical for Rock of Ages and the show was nominated for four other Tony Awards. Rock of Ages ran Off-Broadway from October 16, 2008 – January 4, 2009. Rock of Ages transferred to Broadway on April 7, 2009 and is currently running at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.

SPRING AWAKENING

Based on Frank Wedekind's 19-century play, Spring Awakening boldly navigates youth through the thrilling and confusing time of sexual awakening. Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater's rock score illuminate adolescent self-discovery, the intensity of early friendships and a turbulent relationship to the adult world. Directed by Michael Mayer with choreography by Bill T. Jones. Jennifer won a Tony Award and a Drama Desk Award for Best Musical for Spring Awakening. The show received eleven 2007 Tony Award nominations, winning eight Tony Awards, including Tonys for best musical, direction, book, score and featured actor. The show also won four Drama Desk Awards.The original cast recording won the Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album in 2007.Spring Awakening opened on Broadway at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre on December 10, 2006.

LEGALLY BLONDE

Legally Blonde is based on the novel "Legally Blonde" by Amanda Brown and the 2001 film of the same name. It tells the story of Elle Woods, a sorority girl who enrolls at Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend, but finds herself in the process. Legally Blonde was nominated for seven Tony Awards. Jennifer was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Best Musical for Legally Blonde. The show was recorded and aired in its entirety on MTV, which led to a reality show called The Next Elle Woods on MTV. Legally Blonde opened on April 29, 2007 at the Palace Theatre on Broadway.

CHITA RIVERA: THE DANCER'S LIFE

A magical tour through landmark moments in the American theatre that were fashioned by some of the greatest talents in its history, including Jerome Robbins, Leonard Bernstein, Bob Fosse and Kander & Ebb. Along the way, Rivera and company celebrated some of her most stunning and legendary Broadway performances—from West Side Story to Chicago to Kiss of the Spider Woman. The limited engagement of Chita Rivera: The Dancer’s Life opened on December 11, 2005 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on Broadway.

I LOVE YOU BECAUSE (off-broadway)

A modern day musical re-telling of Jane Austen's classic novel "Pride and Prejudice" with the genders reversed, I Love You Because explores the ‘rules' and nuances of dating and learning how to love someone, not in spite of their differences, but because of them. I Love You Because received a Drama Desk nomination for Ryan Cunningham’s lyrics. I Love You Because opened Off-Broadway on February 14, 2006 at the Village Theatre.

WEST SIDE STORY

The story of Romeo and Juliet transported to the turbulent streets of New York City in the 1950s. Star-crossed lovers are caught between rival street gangs. Directed by librettist Arthur Laurents, the show features Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim's legendary score and wove Spanish lyrics and dialogue into the English libretto. Karen Olivo as Anita won the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical. The cast recording won the Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album. West Side Story opened on March 19, 2009 and is currently running at the Palace Theatre on Broadway

FINIAN'S RAINBOW

Set in the mythical southern state of Missitucky, Finian's Rainbow pits a charming Irish dreamer and his headstrong daughter against the host of complications that await them in their newly adopted land: a bigoted southern Senator, a credit crisis, a pesky leprechaun and, of course, a complicated love affair that gives birth to charming and heartfelt songs. New York's City Center Encores! series performed a concert version of the musical from March 26, 2009 through March 29, 2009, which was directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle. A Broadway revival opened at the St. James Theatre on October 29, 2009.

YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN

Frederick Frankenstein inherits a castle in Transylvania from his grandfather and faces a dilemma: Does he continue to run from his family's tortured past or does he stay in Transylvania to carry on his grandfather's mad experiments reanimating the dead? Based on Mel Brooks' hit 1974 film. The show was directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman. Young Frankenstein opened on Broadway at The Hilton Theatre on November 8, 2007.

LOVEMUSIK

The musical was produced on Broadway as a limited run production by the Manhattan Theatre Club opening at the BiltmoreTheatre on May 3, 2007, and closing on June 24, 2007. The show was directed by Harold Prince, starring Michael Cerveris and Donna Murphy.

THE PRODUCERS

Based on the Academy Award-winning 1968 film of the same name, The Producers is the story of down-on-his-luck theatrical producer Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom, a mousy accountant. Together, they hatch the ultimate scam: Raise more money than you need for a sure-fire Broadway fiasco...and pocket the difference. The original production opened on Broadway at the St. James Theatre on April 19, 2001, starring Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick, winning a record-breaking 12 Tony Awards. It spawned a successful London production, running for three years, national tours, many productions internationally and a 2005 film version. Directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman.

MOVIN' OUT

"Brenda and Eddie were the popular steadies / And the king and the queen of the prom." Then Brenda and Eddie hit Broadway, along with a bunch of their friends, in the Tony-winning musical Movin' Out. "Scenes From An Italian Restaurant" as well as the complete songbook of five-time Grammy winner Billy Joel, which features countless story-driven songs, inspired modern dance maestro Twyla Tharp. Both Joel and Tharp won 2003 Tony Awards for their work on Movin' Out. The show premiered on Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on October 24, 2002.

SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER

Based on Nik Cohn's 1975 New York Magazine Article "Tribal Rites of the New Saturday Night" and Norman Wexler's 1977 screenplay it inspired. Saturday Night Fever focuses on Tony Manero, a Brooklyn youth whose weekends are spent at the local discotheque. Music and lyrics by the Bee Gees.

A 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit theatre company founded by Jennifer Maloney and Laurissa James, which was dedicated to ensemble theatre. (646) had an acting troupe of 30 working actors, offered ensemble classes and workshops and produced the following shows Through War Torn Eyes, Earth and Sky, Snowing at Delphi, Private Eyes, Cyclone, The Last First Kiss, Love Through Seven Windows, Love Through Another Seven Windows. They also developed a children’s division called (323) Kids.

Created by Irna Phillips in 1956, ATWT ran for 54 years. Set in the fictional town of Oakdale, this long-running serial focused on the relationships and difficulties of the Snyder, Hughes and Ryan families.

GUIDING LIGHT
(Jennifer Maloney – Writer Development)
Guiding Light was set in the fictional Midwestern town of Springfield. The stories centered on the Bauer, Spaulding, and Lewis familes. GL was created by Irna Phillips. It ran from 1952-2009.

Another World
(Jennifer Maloney – Writer Development)
The continuing story of life in the Midwestern town of Bay City, and the love, loss, trials, and triumph of it's residents, who come from different backgrounds and social circles. AW was created by William J Bell and Irna Phillips in 1964 and ran until 1999.
